While Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston as Thor’s morally dubious brother, isn’t scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus until June 11, the Marvel show received a new trailer on Monday. It comes as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is in full flight, and just two days after we got a new look at the upcoming film Black Widow, reminding us that the Marvel Cinematic Universe hype train is once again in high gear.

Loki was apprehended by the bureaucratic Time Variance Authority shortly after teleporting away with the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame, according to the trailer. It turns out that doing so “broke truth” in some way, and the God of Mischief is needed to assist in the repair. The TVA, on the other hand, is well aware of Loki’s penchant for betrayal.

The Loki Variant, which sounds like the title given to versions of people from alternate dimensions, is also given to distinguish this show’s Loki from the original timeline version that was killed in Avengers: Infinity War.

Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sasha Lane, and Wunmi Mosaku star alongside Hiddleston, with Richard E. Grant set to make a guest appearance. Last December, during Disney’s investor gathering, we got a sneak peek at the show.
