From the pioneering MMA of women to the burning of a movie trail, GINA CARANO is one of the most unique emerging stars in Hollywood. Sara Carano began her career in MMA by competing in Strikeforce and EliteXC. She was popular for being MMA’s female fighter who is now more than famous. Carano fought Cris Cyborg in Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg in August 2009. Two women led a major MMA and was the highest class fight in the history of showtime. Carano accumulated a record of 12-1-1 in Muay Thai, and a record of 7-1 in women’s mixed martial arts .[4]

While away from the ring Carano held up her own in Steven Soderbergh’s movie Haywire. Gina Rodriguez’s performance earned her the Critics Choice Acting Nomination for Best Supporting Actress in Action Films. Due to the success of Jackie, she has worked in Fast and Furious 6 opposite Dwayne Johnson. Next, she starred alongside Robert DeNiro, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Dave Bautista in Lionsgate’s film HEIST. Later, she featured in the Marvel/Fox hit DEADPOOL movie alongside Ryan Reynolds. The film’s gross profit is about $870 Million dollars. After starring in Daughter of the Wolf opposite Richard Dreyfuss, the dark comedy the Madness in the Method with Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, Ginat secured a leading role in Jon Favreau’s TV show MADALORIAN for Disney +. She has currently started work on ‘The Fosters’, a new American telenovela on ABC Family.

Carano was born in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Dana Cason and professional football player Glenn Carano. She has two sisters.
